Frequently asked questions
What counts as an active lot?
An active lot is a batch you entered manually or by CSV import that has not been fully consumed or recalled. Fragments created by splitting an existing lot do not count separately — splitting the same physical stock can never by itself push you over your plan limit.
Does the location limit restrict how many Shopify locations I can have?
No. It limits how many distinct locations you hold lots in, not how many locations your store has. A store with five Shopify locations can install LotTrack on Starter and track lots in any two of them; everything else keeps working normally.
Are any features held back on the cheaper plans?
No. Recalls, customer recall emails, expiry and low-stock alerts, QC hold and quarantine, lot splitting, the audit trail, CSV import and export, POS support and every notification channel are included on all three plans. The tiers differ only in how many active lots and locations you track.
How does billing work?
LotTrack uses Shopify managed pricing, so the subscription appears on your regular Shopify invoice and you manage it from your Shopify admin. Annual billing saves roughly 17% compared with paying monthly.
What happens when I reach my plan limit?
You are prompted to upgrade when you try to create a lot beyond your cap, or create the first lot in a location beyond your location cap. Existing lots and locations keep working — including after a downgrade, where only new locations are gated.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, every plan includes a 14-day free trial. You can install from the Shopify App Store and cancel from your Shopify admin at any time.
